The infusion of youthful energy from this cadre, comprising the youngest-ever batch of six officers, is reshaping policing in the city by incorporating technological advancements and effective community engagement strategies.

One significant initiative championed by Sarvesh Raj is the widespread deployment of closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras equipped with face recognition technology. This proactive measure has resulted in a notable reduction in chain snatchings and thefts, evident from the decreased crime rate during the recent Diwali season in T Nagar.

C. Aravindhan, a computer science graduate within the cadre, played a pivotal role in implementing the CCTV technology, emphasizing its role in optimizing police resources and enhancing operational efficiency.

Expanding on this success, IPS officer C. Kalaiselvan aims to extend CCTV surveillance to cover the entire Madhavaram police district, emphasizing the importance of technology in modern policing.

In addition to technological advancements, the young officers prioritize accessibility and community engagement. DCP Adyar Rohith Nathan emphasizes personal interactions with residents to foster a sense of safety and community in his jurisdiction.

Sarvesh Raj IPS, recognized for his meticulous planning and compassionate approach, has successfully resolved high-profile criminal cases, including the 2013 Mangadu murder case. His dedication to creating a safe environment epitomizes the ethos driving the young IPS officers.

Collaboration and teamwork are central to the approach advocated by officers like Pravesh Kumar, who emphasizes SWOT analysis and dedicated teams to effectively tackle complex criminal cases.

Drawing upon his extensive experience in handling sensitive areas, IPS officer Sashank Sai navigates challenges in regions like Washermenpet and Kasimedu with skill and finesse, underscoring the importance of field experience in effective policing.

According to city police commissioner A K Viswanathan, the recruitment of young officers like Sarvesh Raj was a deliberate strategy aimed at revitalizing the force amidst evolving challenges. Their innovative problem-solving approaches, particularly through the integration of technology, serve as a model for policing across the state.
